A Message From Our Pastor

Preaching the Word, Straight Down the Middle

Reverend Marlin D. Griffin is the youngest of eleven children and a U.S. Army veteran.  Rev. Marlin D. Griffin, developed leadership skills, mentored youth, coordinated programs and ministries.  Reverend Griffin was licensed to preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ on March 8, 2010, and ordained July 24, 2021, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Bidwell, Ohio.  Reverend Marlin D. Griffin has ministerial certificates in Pastor Leadership, Youth Ministry, Biblical Studies and Church administration.  Reverend Griffin serves Providence Regular Missionary Baptist Association as Second Vice Moderator, Youth director, Congress of Education President.  He is also Gallia County Emancipation Celebration President, the oldest celebration in the United States of America, Jeremiah 29:7 Bidwell Community President.  On August 7, 2022, Rev. Griffin accepted the call to pastor the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Bidwell, Ohio.  Rev. Griffin faithfully gives leadership to the church and the community in providing spiritual counseling to the sick, the bereaved, the addict and the lost.  Reverend Griffin married Jennifer Griffin on September 14, 2006, and they have been blessed with six gifts from God:  Marquez, Asia, Josiah, Ariah, Niah and Nyal.
